How to conduct yourself as a member of ES
Our guild is based on mutual respect for each other and other people playing Dark Age of Camelot. In any given situation,
we expect our guild members to be courteous and fair.
When grouping with members of other guilds and other members
of the community, please remember you are representing the guild. The guild has a good reputation within the community and
you are expected to help maintain and improve that reputation.
Guild Chat Behavior
Guild chat in game is openly used by all in the guild to communicate with and organize all of our members. Consider
it a family get-together with people of all ages there, and adjust your language and behavior accordingly. It would be very
unpleasant if a relative came in to a real life family get-together and the majority of their language contained cuss words,
or they yelled and started arguments, spoiling everyone's fun. Realize that it is just as annoying when someone cusses excessively
and/or starts a rant in /gu chat for all to see.
Basic Rules Regarding Guild Chat:
- Do not bring up serious issues in /gu.
- Do not pick a fight with anyone in /gu. Send them a Tell or a PM if you must.
- If you have an issue with someone, start a channel and invite all parties involved (including Issues Officers if you
want) to work it out. Your goal is to work it out, right? - If you have an issue during a raid, save it till later, and
start the channel after the raid. With any luck you will be cooled off by then... - Issues are best brought up and resolved
in tell. Members playing the game are not there to listen to someone's personal rant. - Cuss words will sometimes spill
out into /gu, /bc and /channels. They always have and they always will--especially late at night when the kiddies should be
in bed; however, if you abuse it, i.e., every sentence contains a cuss word, don't be surprised if you are asked to tone it
down.
Guild chat should be a place where everyone feels comfortable. It's not just for those who like to cuss, and
not just for those who don't cuss. Realize there are more to consider here than just yourself and your own personal preferences.
Disputes with someone outside the guild:
If you cannot resolve external
issues by yourself, the Issues officers can help you work it out with the other player and/or their guild leader.
